Luke's Second Wind

So tonight (actually last night) we went and picked my mom and sister from the airport. They arrived at 10pm and we got home at 2am this morning. Luke woke up when they got in the car and stayed awake for almost the whole trip home. He finally fell asleep about 30 out. I thought he would just stay asleep when we got home and I would put him in his bed and we could all go to sleep. This late at night he normaly just stays asleep.
Well.......he woke up when we got home and it is now 3:30 and and he is still awake. He got a sudden boost of energy (probable from the cookie Aunt Mary and Grandma gave him on the way home to keep him happy in the car seat) and does not look in the least bit tired. I think the cookie was a really bad idea. Thankfully my mom is staying up with me and entertaining Luke, reading and playing with him, so I can just zone out and post this blog. At some point point in the very near future Luke had better get tired or he is just going to have to go to bed screaming. He really likes his Grandma though and does not want to leave her.
Grandma and Luke are now practicing going to sleep, so I should probably join in and get this boy to bed.
