Luke...sick AGAIN!!!!

Last night on our way home from Vespers Luke started crying:
Luke: "My boogers stuck."
Mama: "Where is it stuck honey."
Luke: "In mine mouth." while pointing to his tong and trying to scrape it off.
Matthew and I busted up laughing. It was too funny. Luke started laughing too and 3 min later fell asleep.

Well we had a night to rival the Rogers. Last night Luke went to bed around 9pm but was up around 11pm and did not fall back asleep till 2am. His screaming woke up his sister so she was up for about an hour too. Well after Luke finally fell back asleep, Hannah was up again. She continued to be up and down for the rest of the night till 6:45am when we got up for church. I went and took a shower then went to get Luke dresses for church. Luke didn't take too kindly to being woken up and started screaming and coughing uncontrollable. This lasted for about 10 min before I realized we were not going to make it to church. I undressed, got back in my pj's and undressed Hannah.

Matthew leaves for church at 7:45 and two min later Hannah has a huge explosion in her diaper. I have now figured out why she was not sleeping last night. I get Hannah cleaned up and she falls right to sleep, which is good because I need to get back to Luke downstairs who has been crying "come back mama" since I left him.

Hannah slept for about 2.5 hours and I slept for about an hour on and off, but after that Luke kept poking me and crying, "don't sleep mama", "I need juice" and "I'm hungry." Well needless to say I was exasperated and exhausted. Luke did not go to sleep till 11am. I couldn't believe it. But when he did finally fall asleep he only slept for maybe 30 min because his coughing kept waking him up. We watched a ton of movies today. It was a movie marathon, we probably watched 6movies. We haven't watched anything for the last 2 days so apparently we were catching up.

At 2pm Luke finally fell asleep after spending all his waking time coughing, crying or screaming (or all three) and slept till 4:30. Thankfully Hannah was accommodating and slept at the same time. But before they both finally fell asleep I had two kids hanging on me most of the day, neither one wanting to be put down and both fussy. Well with Hannah asleep and Luke sleeping on me, I got a few winks in between Luke's tossing and turning and coughing.

Ok, Matthew gets home from Liturgy and Fr Ted's Elevation Banquet at 4:45 and at 5:20pm we're out out the door on the way to the ER to have Luke checked out. After being at the ER for over 2 hours we come out with the diagnosis of pneumonia and a double ear infection. I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM!!! Right before we left Luke puked all over himself, Matthew and me. We all stunk, BIG TIME!! Unfortunately Luke was the only one who could be stripped down so Matthew and I had to go home in our pukeyness.

We get home around 8pm and Luke must have puked up all the Tylenol with codeine because he doesn't fall asleep till 10:30pm. He is finally asleep and I am about to be. If I don't get some sleep we will never make it on the plane to AK tomorrow. Please pray for us so we make it to AK without falling apart.

Post Update: Today was the feast of St. Luke the Apostle, who, in addition to writing a Gospel, was also a physician. We are praying fervently to St. Luke that he will intercede on our Luke's behalf for healing and patient parents.
