I'm at the Antiochian Village in Ligoneer, PA, on day 3 of 4 for the house of studies. The Antiochian seminarians from St. Vlad's, Holy Cross, and St. Tikhon's are here, congregating, bonding, discussing, and eating wings at Dino's. For a picture of the 6 students from DOLAW (Diocese of Los Angeles and the West), check out antiochianladiocese.org later tonight or tomorrow.
I've been having a good time with Bishop THOMAS from the Diocese of Charleston. He threw a few footballs to us, shot some hoops with us, and was kind enough to let me eat at his table for breakfast and lunch yesterday. He told us a great story about a 7-year-old who was being baptized but didn't want to be there. He told the priest to get away from him, was making a scene all through church, etc. Then, in the narthex when the priest asked all the participants if they renounce Satan, the boy screams, "NO! NO! NO!" Hilarious. Bishop THOMAS cracks us up.
We went to Dino's Sports Bar last night for Drinks and Wings. Apparently, this is a "Tradition" here with a big "T". There was no arguing about this outing. Lots of fun. I got to watch the 49ers play the Bears in a meaningless preseason game. Very exciting. (By the way, Dn. John, Devin Hester DID step out of the end zone TWICE on the touchback call--should've been a safety).
Anyhoo, I go back to St. Tikhon's (STOTS) tomorrow afternoon, and then start my freshmen orientation/retreat monday morning at 6am. Uh huh. Liturgy at 6. Ridiculous.
I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.
Chow.

I love your blog!. It is so good to "hear" your voice. We had Anastasia over the other night, and she said you might not have the internet at your house, but if these two entries are any indication of future entries, my vote is a big, fat, yes! (Besides, we want pix of Luke). Take care in PA and enjoy your studies. Hope to hear from you again soon. We miss you!
