Time for some more pictures from the Roadie that ended a couple weeks ago. There are a few pics of Fenway Park in Boston, MA, home to the Boston Red Sox. The game was rained out (see the tarp on the field) but the seats were unbelievable: Centerfield, first row, right next to the green monster. Many thanks go out to Fr. Joseph Purpura for procuring those seats for us.

The other pictures are from Livingston, Montana. Jonathan and I are pictured with Lottie Smart (AKA "Meme"), our 98-year-old great grandmother. She had trouble understanding why we are Greek Orthodox if we are not Greek. We didn't bother explaining that we are actually Antiochian
Orthodox, knowing that she would not understand. It was a nice visit, though. We stayed with her for about 40 minutes, and she explained how she saw some men wandering through the halls of her nursing home with guns one night. What's an old lady to do? Call the FBI, naturally. So they showed up but didn't find anybody, and told her that they wouldn't charge her for it because they didn't have to arrest anybody.

Also pictured is me shooting a .357 handgun, and a picture of the bowling pins that we found at the shooting range. They had some shots in them already, but we tore them up pretty well with a .22 rifle and the handgun. Pretty sweet, eh?

It's hot in PA right now. 80 degrees (above zero) and humid. I'm enjoying the summer days that I was cheated out of in Alaska (what a terrible summer this year).
Oh, and good news--Geico won the three games yesterday in the State Tournament in Kenai, AK. They start today in the winners' bracket, and actually will start playing in about 10 minutes. Good luck fellas. Make me proud.

Where's the pictures from Comiskey (I'm not going to call it by that other name)? No one cares about those other Sox :).

The softball team took 2nd in the state. We made it to the championship unscathed, but couldn't pull out a victory. We lost the 1st game by 2 in extras and lost the 2nd by one in the bottom of the seventh (the last inning). So our 4 tournament losses this year have been by a total of 5 runs - not too shabby.

Matthew, your not allowed to leave until after the state tournament next year!

I said make me PROUD, not make me ashamed...geez. 3rd place in State last year, 2nd place this year, 1st place next year. Although I won't be around for state tourney for the next 2 years, I will be around for the city tourney next year. Guess the team will have to find a replacement right fielder who bats 11th in the lineup for the state tourney.

Oh, and I have a terrible picture of US Comiskular field. I'll post it soon.
