I was taking a shower this morning (at 7:30 am because the kids have decided that 6am is a good time to get up) while Hannah was playing in her exersaucer and Luke was playing in his room. Hannah, after a while, got really quite and I thought she fell asleep so I look out to check on her. She was gone so I assumed Matthew came and got her. Luke comes into the bathroom a few minutes later and I asked him if papa took Hannah. Luke said "No mama, Lukey took Hannah." Well I said "where did you take Hannah?" Luke: "To papa." (No Luke did not take Hannah, he is to short to get her out.)
At dinner tonight Luke was looking at the icons and talking about them. He was pointing to the icons and saying Theococos (Theotokos), so we pointed to the Theotokos and said "this one?" and he said "NO, not Theococos." This went on for a while so then we pointed to Christ and said "Is this Jesus?" and Luke said "NO, that's Mama." Soooo apparently we have a ways to go on icon recognition. :)
Then Luke started pointing and talking about grapes in the icons. We have a large icon of the last supper so I asked if the grapes were in that icon and Luke said in a very definite tone, with no doubt in his mind "NOPE." It was really funny, he sounded just like Matthew. Matthew agreed except that Matthew only sounds like that when he really is right, and Luke just says it no matter what.
Well, we are on day 5 with the kids up between 6 and 6:30 am. I am really, really, really hoping that they will pleeeeeeease sleep in tomorrow. I need more sleep!!
