Come on Baby!!

Yesterday I had my last ultrasound and a Dr appointment. The baby is looking great at about 6lb 4oz. I am 2.5 cm dilated and ready to go. Well I'm ready to go but we are still waiting on the baby for him/her to be ready. It could be any minute now, or it could be a week. Probably not a week though, I would be surprised if I lasted that long. I expect it in a couple days now.

Matthew and I were able to go out for dinner last night. It was really nice to get away and talk for a couple hours without the kids constant interruptions. We went to Red Lobster for lobster nachos and lava cookie with ice cream. It was GREAT!! Who needs a main course with great appetizers and dessert. The best part was that it was free! Thank you Mike Habib for the gift card!!

This morning I have been purging and organizing the kids room. I realized a couple days ago after going shopping for food and toilet paper that I was only thinking of the family members that I can see and interact with. I had totally forgotten to buy newborn diapers. Forgetting to buy newborn diapers reminded me that this baby would probably like to wear some clothes home from the hospital so I should probably find those. Thinking of coming home from the hospital reminded me that the baby will need a car seat so I need to get that out and clean it and that I need to pack my own bag to take to the hospital.

All I have been thinking about is being done being pregnant, I haven't actually thought of the fact that I will be bringing someone new home with me. I just keep thinking I will be at the hospital for a couple days and then I will be home. Well, it turns out it will be a bit more involved than that. You'd think after two kids I would remember all that stuff. This poor kid is already not getting the same amount of attention as it's big brother or sister. I just know this will be the kid I forget somewhere. Lord help me!

Anyway, yesterday I got out baby clothes, cleaned the car seat and swing and packed my bag. Diapers will have to wait because I have been running around town three days in a row now and I don't want to go anywhere for a couple days, except maybe the park.

Today after the kids room I came downstairs to make lunch and cleaned out part of the fridge. Next is Matthew and I's room, I need to make room for the baby's crib, and Luke's pallet, so Isaac can have Luke's bed when he is here for Thanksgiving. I also feel the need to sweep, mop, thoroughly clean the fridge, microwave and kitchen, vacuum, reorganize all the toys and clean out the attic. That should be quite enough for today so I had better not go down to the basement otherwise I will want to clean that too. We'll just have to see how far I get. I should also jump on the trampoline to get some contractions going. :)

I got tired just reading this post. But I am enjoying the squeaky clean house.
