Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

So Matthew turned 25 years old on Monday. Now when we rent a car we don't have to pay an extra $25 a day (the under age fee). This is great, not that we need to rent a car any time soon, but if we did now we will save money. We are all about ways to save money.

Anyway, we had a little football/pizza party Sunday night at the neighbors. There were supposed to be like 15-20 guys coming over but we had a lot of snow and the roads were really bad so there ended up being only 3 of them. Matthew, our neighbor Dn Joel and one other guy, Zachary. We were planing on ordering the pizzas early because we thought we probably need about 6 and it would take along time for them to make them all and deliver them. Turns out we only needed 2 pizzas, good thing we waited to order. It was very nice though, plenty of room for every one. We had pizza and then cake and ice cream. I made a chocolate fudge cake which turned out to be not so fudgy, but it was still good. We put the cake in the microwave overnight so the mice wouldn't get it.

Luke has turned into a little papa's boy (kind of). He waked up in the morning and says papa, papa. He doesn't always want papa to hold him, he just wants him to be in sight. When he took his nap this afternoon Matthew was home and Luke went to bed saying papa, papa. I told him he had to take a nap first and could see papa when he woke up. The first words out of Luke's mouth after his nap were papa, papa. Unfortunately, Matthew had already gone back to school so Luke had to wait an hour before he could see him. When Matthew got home Luke ran the other way and wouldn't go see him. Go figure, I don't understand this kid at all.

Matthew and Luke are reading books right now. It is nice that Luke will just sit with him for a while so I can get things done, like blogging. Luke and papa have been practicing Luke's baseball swing. Luke is getting pretty good. Just wait till this summer, Luke will be the star of St Johns Softball team.
