Right after Matthew was done with his semester we went to Washington DC to visit his friend Keith and to do some sight seeing. We had a blast.

On the way to DC we stopped at the Hershey Chocolate Factory. It was awesome. So much chocolate everywhere. We got to do a bit of splurging and pick out some special chocolates. There is a FREE tour of how they make the chocolate and at the end you get free samples. We did the tour twice, and on the second time Luke ran back past the sample stand so Matthew ran to get him and got even more chocolate when they past the sample man. So cool. There is a whole Chocolate theme park too that we hope to go back to with some friends in the spring when it's warmer. Roller coasters and everything.

In DC we stayed with Keith at his and Ashley's house. We were there for two days. On the first day we went to the National Zoo and saw some cool animals. Luke liked the elephants the best. We were there for most of the day, but in the evening we walked the National Mall. I was expecting a real mall, but no it's just a long strip of land with a lot of National Monuments on it. It was actually really cool. We walked to the Washington Memorial and got to go up to the top. That was cool because we got to see all the other memorials that I was too tired to walk too.

On the second day it was cold and rainy, which was a bummer because we were going to go back to the Mall. Instead we went to a couple of museums, the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History. I got to see dinosaurs, but unfortunately none of those pictures turned out. The second day was a lot harder because Luke wasn't feeling well and it was cold and rainy and we had to do a lot of walking to do outside to get to and from the subway. No driving in DC, the parking is awful.

All in all we had a really good break. It was good to get away from the school for a few days. We really needed the break.

Well Luke is asleep on my and I am typing 1 handed so I think I am done for tonight. I will post more pictures soon. I got a new camera for Christmas so there will be plenty more pictures coming.
