Grandpa Eric and Hannah!Well everyone has gone and left us. :(
My parents left on Sat morning. It was awful. I spent most of the day crying, especially when Luke would ask where Yaya (Grandma) and Bopy (Grandpa) were. "Yaya bye bye." Luke said this all day Sat. Then what was worse, he kept going to their room and looking for them. I'm crying right now thinking about it. It was a really, really hard day. Mom come back!!! No, we are all right. Really!! I have to be OK, because we have to do this for two more winters. We really miss my parents a whole lot though. But the Rogers came to see us Sat night so that was a really good distraction.
The Rogers got in late Sat night around 11pm. We all stayed up till about 1:30am talking while the kids played. Matthew and Dn John woke up early Sun morning to go to church in Emmaus, but Christine and I stayed home with the kids. The Rogers had already driven 3-4 hr the night before and were going to drive about another 13hr to South Carolina on Mon morning, so Megan and Marina were not interested in being in the car for 3hr on Sun. (It is 1.5 hr each way to get to our church in Emmaus.) Christine decided it would be best for everyone if the girls had a day off from driving. So Christine and I had a good morning with the kids till the dads came home around 2. Then we played card !! That was a blast. Matthew and I haven't played Hand and Foot since last summer. The boys won the first game and Christine and I won the second game. We took the kids outside to play for a while, and Marina fell asleep on her blankets on the grass. It was so cute. We only had the Rogers here for 24hr but it was really, really, really nice to see them.
THANKS DN JOHN AND CHRISTINE FOR COMING TO SEE US. WE LOVE YOU GUYES!!!
But now there gone. They left this morning at 8am to start their long drive to SC. GOOD LUCK GUYES!! HOPE YOU ALL MAKE IT IN ONE PIECE. WERE PRAYING FOR YOU!!!
So today is my first day alone with the kids. I haven't been alone for a month now. Boy I miss people, and it's only been 6hr's. Really I miss home more than anything, and my family. I had to keep busy so I wouldn't get depressed this morning so I did the laundry, dishes, vacuumed, swept, moped and fed Luke, Hannah and I breakfast and lunch. Luke and Hannah are napping right now. I get a couple hrs quiet time from Luke but now Hannah is making noise over in her swing so I think I should probably fed her. Love to everyone. We miss you lots and lots but we will be back in Sac May 27th and then back to Alaska a couple weeks after that for the rest of the summer. YA!!!
