Playing break the egg (all the pictures are backwards.)
Well I know it's been a week but I thought I would update you on our thanksgiving. It was wonderful. My brother Nate and his wife Melanie came over from Providence, Rhode Island to spend a couple days with us. Luke absolutely loves his uncle Nate. They have only met twice and both times they just clicked. Nate is super patient and gets right down on Luke's level and follows him around and does, almost, whatever Luke wants. It is so funny to watch them interact, because for example, Luke wanted Nate to go down his plastic indoor slide and Nate in a very thoughtful way was explaining to Luke that he could not go down the slide because he was in fact twice as tall as the slide and would therefor not fit. Also, Luke was counting his 3 plastic bugs for Nate saying "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" and Nate got down and said there were actually only 3 bug and this is why "here's one and here's two more and that makes 3". Although Luke sat and listened the whole time to what Nate had to say he in not yet ready for addition and had know idea what his Uncle Nate said. But that does not even matter, Luke and Uncle Nate were inseparable for the two days they were here. Nate also bounced on the trampoline with Luke for a good 30-40minutes. It was great. While Nate and Luke and Mary (my sister is still here with us) jumped on the trampoline Matthew and Mel played croquet. Matthew was so glad to have someone that would play with him. I try to play but it's hard with a little one attached to me.
We played a good game of Risk thanksgiving night and then another game which Mel brought, but I can't remember what it was called. Anyway, that was really fun too and it was really nice to see my brother and sister-in-law again. We hope to make it to Providence in the spring to go see them.
As for the time after Thanksgiving, we are all doing well but looking forward to Christmas break. We still don't have any snow and we are just fine with that!!!
I am up way to late again and must go to bed.
