Mommy's turn to be sick

The flu bug that everyone else last week here at Seminary has finally found it's way to me...UGH!!! I was up at 5am with a bad stomach ache and puking. Unfortunately both the kids woke up with me and I was a bit detained so I could not put them back to sleep. At some point I had Matthew on one side rubbing me back and Luke on the other lying on my legs. :) It was actually quite funny and had I been able I would have laughed. Hannah must have been in bed still at that point.

Well by 6am both kids were awake and Luke was asking for a grilled cheese sandwich. Being the good father that he is, Matthew took both kids downstairs so I could sleep (or puke) in peace. Sadly for Matthew, neither kid went back to sleep right away. Finally around 10am I went and got Hannah to nurse her and put her down for a nap. She slept for about an hour and then woke up in time for Matthew and Luke to take her to the Seminary for our free turkey dinner. Luke of course fell asleep as soon as they were out of the garage and slept all the way there and all the way back. When he came home and finally woke up he kept saying "I want to go to school". Hannah only slept for a few winks on the way home.

I have pretty much been in bed all day. Every time I get up I feel like nauseous. The last time I was this sick I had morning sickness. I really don't like it, and poor Matthew doesn't like it much either. I have been completely useless today and absolutely no help for my kids. Matthew has gotten a taste of being a stay at home dad and I think he probably appreciated my job as a mother a bit better and want's me to get better more than anyone else! :) ha ha ha

Matthew has the kids at Vespers right now but they should be home any time. He's such a great papa to take the kids with him. Hannah has been a real pill today for him, just crying about everything. Can't wait for bed time. Hopefully I will better by morning. If I miss church again this will be the second week in a row. Last Sunday Luke was sick so I stayed home with him while Matthew and Hannah went to church.
