Prayers for Fr Alexander Atty

Please pray for Fr. Alexander Atty from Kentucky. Fr Alexander has stage 4 colon cancer and is having surgery tomorrow (Tue, Feb 2nd). He is/was a candidate to be the next dean of St Tikhon's, so please keep him in your prayers as we would love to have him here!!!

Potty training is still going well. We made it to the Dr's and back in just undies with out any accident. Yeah!!! Both the kids just have a bad cold. Not to much to do but wait it out. Luke's cough was bad enough that he did get some meds for it, but they are the most awful tasting meds ever. Thank God they are only for 5 days otherwise I think Luke would find them and hide them. He had a huge fit already after taking his first dose.

Other than needing sleep and a break for coughing clingy children I think Matthew and I are doing all right. I was putting Luke to bed a few minutes ago but Luke told my I was supposed to go downstairs and get papa. OK with me!!! It's weird though, when Luke is sick he always want's just me and throws a huge fit if I try and leave. I guess papa is just cooler than I am tonight. It must be the potty training. I made him try and pee earlier today when he didn't want to and he was crying for papa. Papa just isn't around as much to put him on the potty. :)

Liturgy in the morning with an ordination so I must be going to bed. The kids will be up around 6am to make sure we get to church in plenty of time...grone.

My guess is that a few months ago Megan had the same awful tasting medicine that Luke is getting. Christine mixed the medicine into spoonfuls of orange soda and she took the medicine like a champ. Squirt part of the dose into a spoon, pour in soda. Stir carefully. Yum.

We don't have Orange Soda, but how bout Lemon Juice? Think that'll do the trick?

Luke spit the medicine right out this morning even when I was trying to tempt him with a Reese's Peanut Butter cup. This stuff is really nasty.
