Bright Week

We had a terrific Bright Week!! We had a party 4 days in a row. Monday we were at the park for a picnic, Tuesday there was a birthday party for one of our friends, Wednesday we were back at the park for another picnic and Thursday we had a BBQ at our house. We would have keep going but the weather turned from a balmy, humid, 86 degrees on Thursday to a frigid, windy, 45 degrees on Friday. We went outside on Friday and only lasted for about 40 min. It was a drastic change from the last week of being outside all day and only inside for about 40 min. The kids were horrified at the temp change and let us know by acting out and throwing huge, screaming tantrums all day. It was GREAT!! NOT!!!

Luke has been saying the funniest things lately. He has been talking a ton more and saying everything that pops into his head! He has also been talking back a ton more. We tell him not to do something and he tells us not to tell him "that". He has also started scratching us when he doesn't get his way, however that habit is being quickly squashed. He thinks he's being a tiger but we are quickly letting him know that is NOT OK!! I think we have reached a whole new level of the terrible 2's. Fun stuff! But really for the most part he is a gook kid. Until Bright Weeks sugar induced insanity, his melt down's were few and far between.

Hannah on the other hand is a bit of a terror. Her meltdown's are frequent and often. She just likes to scream when she doesn't get her way, and throw herself on the ground. Of course there are a lot of things she can't have or do at this age that her big brother can, and that seems to be a big problem for our little, headstrong girl. I remember Luke doing this too, and it didn't last terribly long so I have hope that it will soon be over. (I say this as she is on the ground screaming.) Oh well, the ignoring begins... Hannah is however a great re organizer and cleaner. Today she took all my clean towels out of the drawer and was using them to clean all my kitchen cabinets and floor. NICE!!
