We have been throwing the idea around of not buying a van till next spring when we make our road trip to AK. I decided we first needed to do a test run and try and fit all three car seats into the Subaru and see if they would fit. My worry was that the passenger seat would have to be to far forward in order for the infant seat fit behind it. Well that didn't end up being the problem. When I shut the doors of the car I had to through all my weight into it in order to make it shut all the way. The infant seat was definitely not straight in the car and in fact was resting on the armrest of the door. I suppose we could make it work, and just make the kids hold up there hand before shutting the door as to not squash any fingers...but we decided that was not going to work and now we definitely have to have a van before the baby is born, OR haul our kids around in ones or twos. :) Since the latter options is not really practical we have resolved to find a van probably sooner rather than later. (Christine keep this in mind if you get pregnant, a bigger vehicle is a MUST!!)
Speaking of kids Luke has just made a tower of movies, 25 movies high. It's a big one. He was able to count all the way to 17 but apparently 12 then comes next. :) It wont be long before it is a smashed tower of movies as Luke is wielding a sword (actually a whisk).
Morning sickness is about the worst thing ever. (Christine, don't be too jealous of me, I am suffering.) I have had super bad morning sickness with really bad fatigue. I was not this fatigued with either of my other kids and it is taking a serious toll on me. Most days a don't start feeling better till 5pm and then I get sick again around 9pm. I am so tired of being...well tired and sick. No kidding right! I feel like the most useless person right now and when I told Matthew, HE AGREED!! He wasn't supposed to agree with me. Just because I haven't done anything productive in 2 weeks doesn't mean my husband is supposed to think I'm useless. He's supposed to make me feel better, right. Well I guess if I wanted my ego petted I should have married someone else. Matthew is brutally honest and even when I am feeling down. Especially since he has had to take so much time from school and homework to take care of the kids and I, wake up early every morning with the kids, do all the shopping and do most of the house work. Of course he was smiling and laughing at me the whole time he was telling me I was useless, so I can't really be mad at him. (Prepare yourself Christine, Dn John is a lot like Matthew.) If I wanted someone to make me feel better I should have talked to my mom, mother-in-law, sister, Christine, or, well, any woman. So the moral of this story: if you feel useless and there's not much you can do about it, DON'T TELL YOUR HUSBAND!! :)
Luke has just knocked over the leaning tower of movies by adding movie number 26. There she goes! He has also asked me read him a story so I guess this is the end of my post.
