We went to this zoo on Friday. It was pretty cool. The zoo it self was not that impressive at the cages were way to small for the animals, but they did have some pretty cool stuff you could do. We fed a giraffe carrots and potatoes, had parrots land on us and fed them apples, played with about a dozen large turtles, fed goats and sheep and deer in a petting zoo area, and dug up dino bones. The kids had a ton of fun and us moms were glad to be out of the house letting our husbands work on their finals. It was good all around. In the fall I plan to buy a year pass and go a lot in good weather. I think Luke would enjoy it and as Hannah gets older she will like to watch. On this last visit she slept the whole time.

Tomorrow, Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. I hope it's good. I know Matthew will enjoy it! It will be nice to get out of the house and not think of the kitten I took to a shelter today. They said she was pretty sick and they were not sure she would make it. I almost went and got her back, but there is less I can do for her then they can. I already miss her and feel that part of me is missing today. I know that will pass but gosh, animals are a killer for me. I would take anything in.

Lots of comments....

1.) Dn. John is very glad that the kitten didn't keep Matthew from the Hall of Fame.

2.) All those activities at the zoo sound like a blast. They also sound like things (each and every one of them) that would send Megan into a hysterical tizzy. We'll come visit when you get your year's pass, and she can learn to get over being afraid of every animal that roams the earth.

3.) I'm really sorry about the kitten. Maybe Matthew will soften up one of these days and actually let you get a pet.

Oh yeah, and bravo for going with Matthew to Cooperstown. I know he's been super busy and all, and you haven't seen him much, but even with all that, I'm not sure that I would be able to stomach that much baseball stuff. You are a very kind wife.

Okay, comment post number three. We just sat and had a family activity of watching your videos. They're pretty funny! We were especially amused by our Godson hollering for his Mom on the fence, and by his slight obsession with turtle poop.

These were some of the best videos of Luke in a while. Matthew and I were dying laughing at them last night. Luke was totally obsessed with turtle poop, he kept going back to it till we left the pen. It was hilarious. At least he didn't pick it up. lol
