Lent is here!! Wow, I was looking forward to Lent but when it finally got here I realized I was not really ready. A visit to my favorite monk and a nice talk with him, and now I am more ready. Bring it on!!
Lent came with a bang for Matthew. The lucky guy has strep...again. I think there is a good chance he will get his tonsils out. That wont be fun but the hope is it will prevent strep in the future. Were waiting to here from the Dr though. Because of Matthew's strep he has not been going to many services for clean week. I don't know how sad he is about it, but I have been able to got to the cannon of St Andrew a couple times while he's home with the kids. Well the older two at least. Emma has gone to church with me, wide awake and talking through the whole thing, or pooping, or eating. :)
Fr. Stephen is here for a week. The kids are having a great time with him. He brought Luke two pairs of shorts and Hannah two t-shirts and a summer dress. The kids were thrilled. Luke has worn his army shorts every day since he got them. It's not that warm though. Hannah on the other hand is a smart kid and her new clothes are put away for warmer weather. :) Tonight grandpa brought out a new book to read, we love book and read all the time so a new books are always welcome!!
If anyone would like a little two year old, screaming, hurricane, maniac, let me know. I may have one for you to rent. I will need her back in a couple years though so she can run the house.
We are having a bit of a rain storm and there are flash flood warnings in different county's around us. I don't mind the rain so much, but the last time we had rain like this (last week) it turned into snow at night and all the shoveling I had done the day before was for not. The rain is melting the snow and we are happy about that, thought it is now slushy everywhere. We can see the grass in places which is cool but what is really awesome is my tulips are popping up through the snow along the house!!! How cool is that!! I seriously hope we don't get any more snow, I am so ready for SPRING!
Something funny:
Luke: Mom I need my knife to cut Claire.
Me: What???
Luke: My knife so I can cut my Claire worms.
Me: Oh, you mean clay.
We are very sorry to any Claire's who Luke may try to cut up with a butter knife and cook! :)
