What should have taken us 1.5 hr's to drive to Emmaus yesterday took 2.5 hr's. We left the house at 2pm and didn't arrive until almost 5pm it was a very long trip with road construction and lots of traffic. We only had to make one stop to feed Emma and have a potty break and then on again.
When we arrived at the hotel we found out there was dinner that night. FREE dinner. What were they having for dinner you would like to know...BUFFALO WINGS!! How unfair. There were also perogies and salad, which is what we had, and they were good to. We took a huge plate of wings too though, for Pascha of course. We were running and eating as we needed to leave the hotel at 6pm to get to church on time. (We did run late though.)
Early this morning Hannah peed in her bed and then Emma projectile vomited all over me and my bed. Great, now I have been puked and peed on. Emma got a bath in the sink and Hannah and I got a shower, now to get housekeeping to change all the sheets and I will feel much better, and there will be some where for us all to sit/lay.
This morning the kids and I did not go to church so we enjoyed a FREE breakfast buffet, with hash browns, fruit, mufffins, yogurt, eggs, make your own waffle and (of course they would have it) bacon. The kids ate bacon I saved some with the wings for Pascha. Even though I am nursing and eating meat, bacon is on another level of meat that I just can't go to during Lent. There is no dinner tonight but I think there is some sort of cocktail hour, whatever that is. I guess Great and Holy Friday is not the day to care though.
Today we will go to Vespers and Lamentations. Last year the kids and I did not make it to Lamentations so I am really hoping to go this year. WE will be bringing blanket so the kidos can sleep if possible.
Matthew just got back from church, now to find a Walmart for all the things I forgot at home!!
