LUKE: "Were not coming back?"

It hit Luke yesterday, when we were selling his play ground, that when we leave PA this summer we are not coming back. He was pretty sad.He asked "When we leave PA, were not coming back ever?" There were no tears, but I do foresee some coming when the time gets closer. He was mostly sad because he would be leaving his friend Losha behind, and will probably never see him again. I could tell his little brain was trying to work through that. Losha (who is 8) and I told him they could talk on the phone and we could send letters back and forth, so for now Luke is okay.

I never thought moving out of PA would be hard, but I think this is going to be almost a harder move than leaving AK was in a way...for everyone. When we left AK we knew we would be seeing our friend again in the summer and at Christmas. Leavening our friend here in PA will be a lot harder because we don't know when we will see them again...if ever. :( The girls pretty much only know PA, Hannah has some memories of AK but home is PA for her. Luke's best friends right now are Nonna, Peter, Evan and of course Losha. Leaving them will be harder than leaving Yaya at Christmas because Yaya always comes to visit later, his friends won't. For Matthew and I leaving our friends will be difficult as well. For me leaving our house will be harder than I thought. I have become attached to our house her with lots of rooms and a tone of storage! :) I won't miss all the wasps that keep coming in our house though.
