Dinner at Metropolitan PHILIP's house

Here's the last line of the previous post:

"Pray for us all tonight, that Luke won't scream and I won't be a completely nervous wreck, and that dinner will be really fast."

Ok, so vespers started 30 minutes late, dinner ended at 7:30, and Metropolitan Philip didn't end his talk until 8:45. So dinner was slow, Luke did scream a lot (but not the whole time), and Stasia was a nervous wreck all night. So whoever was praying for what she asked for didn't pray hard enough. :)

It was OK though. Everyone survived, and the food was above average (not great, but not bad). Look for our picture to be published in one of the next few issues of THE WORD magazine. Stasia wanted to stand next to me during the large group photo (about 70 people in it), but I told her that she is too short to stand in the back, unless she wanted to get on my shoulders. So, just like Fr. Philip and Kathryn (sp?) Rogers for 3 years, I was in the back, she was front row. Oh the joys of being 13 inches taller than me wife. At least I was able to joke during the picture that it was our "trial separation". Got a few laughs out of that, although I'm certain Stasia was rolling her eyes.

I have two midterms due next week and need to keep working on them so that Shelly can do some more proofreading this weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well.

"Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes."

What a great quote.
