Luke and the Laundry

Here is Luke trying to be helpful doing laundry. I was in the kitchen cleaning up something and told Luke we had to go upstairs and finish our laundry in a minute. Sooo, Luke went upstairs ahead of me and then came back down a couple times as I was finishing. When I finally made it to the stairs, he had thrown down about a third of our clean, folded laundry. All we needed to do was put it away, not wash it. He was so proud of himself and was smiling away. He was a bit confused when I took it all back upstairs, not to the washing machine.


We had a warm day a few days ago so Luke and I got some very needed outside time. He was having fun running up and down the stone steps you see in the pictures with his apples. Isn't he so cute.

Well Luke had a bad night last night, and we decided to blame the Rogers and there eternal flu bug. Luke woke up about 1 am and puked all over his bed and pj's. Thankfully he didn't get me since I think I had fallen asleep next to him. I really don't remember how or when I got to his room. Well, we had to strip Luke and his bed. Everything into the laundry and washed with lots of hot soapy water (twice). Lucky Lukey got to finish the night in Mommy and Daddy's bed. This morning he acted as though nothing had happened. He was up at 8am and running up and down the hall with more energy than he should have had. I'm glad he recovered so quickly. He did take two naps today which is unusual, but not unwelcome.

Today was our first real sit down fasting meal of the season and it was pretty bad. Stir fried veggies and rice with shrimp. The shrimp was awful it was cooked for longer than recommended but had a horrible fishy taste. The veggies were a little to hard for Matthew and I just thought they tasted funny, maybe because of the shrimp. The rice was good though. Hard to mess up rice with a rice cooker, and the canned fruit was good. It was a bit of a let down for me as I still have 30 some all meals to go. Actually, I just have to get through Dec 16 and then we will be back in AK to mooch off family and friends. Truelson's, Dunaway's and Rogers here we come.

I should go now and give Luke his bath and I still need to take my shower. Solong for now and will write again soon.
