Happy New Year

My new year resolution, be more content with where I am in life (especially since there isn't much I can do about it right now with out abandoning seminary and everyone there) and be more patient with my kids (and everyone else too). I should probable be more prayerful too since I think that would help with my patience issue (and a whole heap of other things).

Although I planned to go to bed early on New Years, or at least let my husband, we ended up staying up till about 1:30 am talking and then putting Luke to bed who was being a wild child over at his grandparents till 12:30.

I think the last decade was pretty good for me. I graduated high school, got my CNA licence, got married, worked as a CNA and put my husband through school and also taught preschool, had Luke, moved to PA for Matthew to go to seminary, had Hannah and get to travel every Christmas and summer to come home and see family and friends. We are now half way through seminary and Matthew is doing great in his classes. Out side of classes can be a bit challenging at times but some how we muttle through. We have made great friends in PA, ones that I am sure will last us a lifetime and I will never regret going to seminary for that one reason. I cherish the new friends that we have made in PA and I am so thankful for them. Without then I would never make it through 3 years. I also am thankful for all of our family and friends that we have in AK and CA that support us in our seminary efforts though prayer and money. We also would not make it through seminary with out there support.

So even though life sometimes seemed like it was tough and I would never make it through, when Luke would be up screaming through the night or when I was in labor and I though it would never end, the past decade has been a great one for us and all the hard and tragic things that have happened are definitely out weighted by the good and wonderful.

The hardest part of the past decade was loosing my Grandma Marlene, but I know she is in heaven watching us and praying for us!

Thank God for a new year and decade and I pray that it will be better than the last!!!
