Saint's to the Super Bowl

We just had an eventful time trying to watch the the football playoffs. Our cable decided to puts-out on the channel that the game was on after half time. All the other channel's were working great, but of course football wasn't on any other channel. I suppose we could have watched figure skating instead but it just wasn't the same...in other words my husband and neighbor would have died. So instead we tried getting the game on the computer which didn't work great but they could watch most of it. The cable finally came back when the game was in overtime, so the guys got to see the winning kick (or whatever it was that won the game). Poor Fr Ted, his team (the Viking's) will not be playing in the super bowl, but our neighbor's team (the Saint's) will. I didn't really care either way but upon hearing that the Saint's have never made it to a Super Bowl, EVER, I am glad they won. They've been a team since 1960 something and never made it to a Super Bowl, it must really suck to be that team, or a fan of that team. How depressing!!!

Anyway, enough about sports. Church was pretty good today, the parts that I was able to focus on. Hannah has made up her mind that she does not like Church there day's and lets the whole parish know about it. She will be fine and happy running around the social hall, but the moment I pick her up and take her into church she becomes this awful child who throws herself back and screeches. She wants down, she wants up, she wants down, she wants... On and on it goes until she has thoroughly exasperated me and we wind up back out of church, or I am on the floor with her holding my hand over her mouth to muffle the screams. It's a very delightful stage, but I think I have had enough and would like to skip ahead about 3-6 month's to when we can behave a little better in church. I don't need her perfect by any means. I was dealing with Hannah for most of the service so poor Luke is just being ignored, so when I finally look over at him, he is under the pew lying down playing with his elephants. I decided to ignore the fact that he was lying under the pew and was just thankful he was quiet. I was actually a bit jealous, I could have used a little lye down myself.

It is raining pretty good outside right now with a bit of wind, and has been all day. Tonight it will freeze and who knows what the road's will look like tomorrow. YUCK is all I can say!
