Road Trip Day 1

Breathing treatments in the car...

Day one of the road trip got off to a very late start. We left the house at 1pm, two hours latter than we had hoped, but there just seemed to be one more thing after another that we needed to do. But we did get out with very little crying and have made it to Toledo, Ohio!! Here's how it went:

The kids spent the morning playing with friends and haveing a great time until about noon when everyone started to come unglued and get tired and grouchy.

12:00- Ate Lunch and did the last minute cleaning and goodbyes!
1pm- left the house, filled up with gas and hit the road.
2:30- Stop so Hannah can go potty, Luke is sleeping
3:00- Pull over on the side of the highway so Luke can pee, than to find a Mc Donalds with a playground. We found one with a really cool playground and stayed an hour. Back on the road by 4:30pm. Kids watching movies and sleeping. Mom takes the wheel and drives for a bit.
7:42pm- Stop for gas and more potty breaks, look for some place to play
7:50- Left the state of PA behind and entered the state of Ohio
8pm- Found a nice little playground. Only there for 2 min when Luke informs us he has to poop. Matthew takes Luke to find a bathroom again, the girls and I stay at the park. Play at the park for an hour, it started to get dark and we still had at least two hours of driving to go.
12:04- Made it to a Comfort Inn for the night. Everyone is exhausted but so glad to be sleeping in a bed for the night, we had considered driving through the night. Tomorrow we get to make our own waffles and have a nice breakfast before hitting the road again by 10am!

Sweet Dreams!
