Road Trip Day 8

Woke up at 9am, boy it was great to sleep in!!Patty made us some GREAT monkey bread for breakfast with sliced strawberries. YUMM! Got caught up on all our laundry, three loads full, and got caught up with blogging. It's cold (about 50 degrees) and windy and rainy, so we are not going anywhere today. It's nice to just hang out and spend a relaxing day with family.
12:00pm- Patty made the kids mac and cheese for lunch and us chili dogs and cold cuts. Delicious!! Patty is quite the cook! :)
1:30pm- Nap time! Patty has Emma and Mary has Luke and Hannah. Matthew and I need rest.
3 ish- Up from our nap! Matthew and I are nice and rested and ready to fold our mountain of laundry. Chasing the kids around and having a pillow fight is on our agenda. It's so good not to have to go anywhere.
4:00pm- Amy came over to visit!
4:30ish- Bonnie is here too now!
5ish- Pizza Party!! Patty "made" us some gourmet Pizza Hut Pizza!! :) And "made" the kids some really good cheese bread. Luke played "hoose ball" with and and after he won said "beat yu" and walked away. Amy was a good sport to play with my cheating son.
7:30pm- Left Patty's house and headed toward Livingston to Grandpa Roy's house.
7:39pm- Hannah asleep
7:43pm- Luke asleep
7:47pm- Emma wide awake and just took me 4 blasted minutes to send a simple text to Patty.
8:50pm- Made it to Livingston. We drove all around the little town while the kids were still asleep. Looked at G-Roy's house, Meme's old house and the playground. Hoping tomorrow we can play at the park.
9 something- Made it to our hotel. Hannah and Emma stayed asleep after caring them into the hotel room. YES!!!! Luke woke up though and was not in a very good mood, understandably since he was still very tired and has been out of sorts from the road trip. he did however perk up when Matthew showed up with sundays from McD's. After a few bites though he was done and started wailing when I got ready to go swimming with Mary.
9:30pm- Mary and I went swimming while Matthew and Luke watched something.
11:00pm- Back from swimming. We had a blast. I don't remember the last time I went swimming. I am so exhausted. Taking the kids swimming in the morning after breakfast!
