Everyone was able to sleep in a bit today, even the girls. Emma and Hannah slept till about 8am, that was really nice for me. Matthew was up around then too. Luke didn't wake up until almost 9am, and I don't know when Mary woke up, around 10:30am or so I guess.
11:45am- Going to the Mall of America.
12:00pm- Arrived at the Mall of America. We really had a great time but on the way out we all decided that to go to a mall often you have to a) like them and b) have money to spend at them. None of us really liked them much nor had money to spend at them so it was a nice once in a while trip. Chris was our tour guide and even made us sandwiches for lunch. She also bought us a pass for the amusement park so we could ride roller coasters. Matthew and I took the kids on a little train coaster that just went in circles. Matthew had Hannah and I had Luke. Hannah cried the whole time and Luke laughed the whole time. When we finally got off the kiddie coaster Matthew asked a a very sad looking Hannah with tears running down her face did you like it Hannah and her response was "yeah." :) So it was apparently fun for her but she didn't want to do it again. The only other one she did was a carousel. Hannah decided she did want to try a coaster again so Mary had Hannah in another ride later on in the day but before the ride even started Hannah was trying to climb over Mary to get out crying "no, nooo, NOOOO." So they got off and Luke got to ride the carousel again. After lunch up on the food court with our sandwiches and assortment of fruit we went to Lego Land. I really wanted to buy something for the kids but it was so expensive and the kids weren't asking as Chris said, so I didn't. There will be plenty of time to get them a souvenir from the road trip later. I did however go to Boarders to use a gift certificate my mom gave me over a year ago. I haven't been in a book store in years, I forgot how much I liked them!! I got the kids a few book there to read to them tomorrow.
4:45pm- Home from Lego Land. 3 out of the 4 kids are sleeping. Emma is awake. :) ha ha ha
6:00pm- Kieth (ie the kids Uncle Kieth) is here to visit. Kieth just moved into the area for work so it worked out that he was able to come on over to see us. It's been 2 years sine the last ime we saw him in DC. He is now married to Vickie, but she isn't here yet so we didn't get to meet her. Matthew and Tim picked up some pizza and we had a good dinner outside with Phil and Bonnie and there baby Hunter (10 months). Matthew, Kieth and Tim played a ring game that they were getting pretty excited about. It was fun to watch them all. Matthew and Kieth are now upstairs visiting and catching up. Luke didn't wake up from his nap until almost 7pm, so he is upstairs playing but the girls are sleeping and Mary is somewhere.
Anyway, I am finally caught up with blog so I am going up to try and download pictures now.
