Road Trip Day 3

This morning Emma was nice enough to wake up at 6am and Hannah at 6:30am. We were of course the first ones up. The girls and I went downstairs to play where only Aunt Mary was sleeping, so we were only disturbing one person. I tried to get Hannah to jump on Aunt Mary but she wouldn't. What a nice little niece! Patty's brother Hal (who lives with them) was up next and made breakfast for everyone. Pancakes and bacon. Yummy!! Everyone else except Susanna was up by 9am and then we ate. Susanna woke up sometime during breakfast. We had a great morning! The kids played we visited and everyone ate! Fr Andrew had to leave for work around 10am and we left shortly after him.
10:49am- On the Road Again!!! This time with MARY!!! The girls fell asleep right away and Luke is happily playing in the back. Shortly after "take off" we missed a toll booth. This toll booth however did not go all the way across the road like the other toll's we have come across so far. It is designed, according to Patty whom we had to call, to keep traffic moving, so if you have an electric pass thing you just keep going and it automatically charges your account. If not, it takes a picture of your license plate and I guess sends you a bill unless you pay online. We'll see.
Our goal for the day: Make it to Minneapolis to Tim and Chris Johnson's house. We have 6 hours of drive time, but we now have Mary to help entertain the kids. Our Nanny is back!!
12:25pm- Welcome to Wisconsin. Listening to the Hobbit on the i-thing. Luke watching Veggie Tales, Hannah coloring a puzzle with Mary and Emma sleeping.
1ish- Stopped for gas and lunch. We found a nice little park to play at. Made sandwiches and had an assortment of chips and fruit to go with it. Matthew beat Mary and I several times at a ball game that I have completely forgotten the name of. There was a ball on a string attached to a poll and you had to hit the ball and wrap it around to win. Well anyway, you definitly need to be tall to play it and I an not, so I was horrible.
2:42pm- Going potty and then back on the road. Started as a nice cooler day, but now it is quite warm.
6:00pm- WOW! We made it three hours in one shot. I drove and we are now at a McDonalds. This particular McD's has a 30 min play limit in there play land. They even have a guard of sorts. We'll see if she kicks us out after our time is up. THe kids all slept for most of the last three hours so they are very ready to be out running around, however there is a TV with cartoon on in the play land that the kids would like to be glued to but I keep shooing them away. Matthew went over to a Taco sometihng or nother to get burritos.
7:18pm- Left McD's. WE have about an hour left to go to get to the Johnson's house. The dumb guard in the play land wouldn't let me help Hannah up to the steps. She said no parents alowed. The fat kids in the play land are bigger than me and I'm not playing, just sitting on the step helping Hannah up...STUPID!! Ok, whatever, time to read to the kids.
7:56pm- Minnesota Welcomes You...Us! Luke said "I like going to Minnesota...there's pancaked and waffles." "Are we at OUR house in Minnesota?" I thing he thinks this our new house.
8:24pm- Made it to Tim and Chris's
10:20pm- Tim and Chris have one of the coolest houses for kids ever!! A total Grandparents house with all sorts of cool toys. The kids are thoroughly enjoying there time here. AND, Tim and Chris are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!!

Pictures will come soon!
